Your Journey of Self-Discovery
I offer integrative, trauma‑informed counselling grounded in the Person‑Centred approach. This means our work is led by what feels safe and meaningful for you, rather than a fixed agenda. I draw from different therapeutic models, but your pace, autonomy, and lived experience remain at the heart of every session.
Together, we explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns gently and collaboratively, using grounding techniques, reflective work, and culturally sensitive understanding. My aim is to help you feel more resourced, more connected, and more able to navigate life with clarity and compassion.
How Your Therapy Works
I offer a calm, safe space where you can talk openly and explore what’s happening in your life at a pace that feels right for you. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place weekly.
You can choose the format that feels most comfortable:
- In‑person sessions at my practice in Cardiff, Wales
- Online sessions via secure video
- Telephone sessions if you prefer a voice‑only space
Everything you share is treated with care and respect. I work within professional ethical guidelines, which means our sessions remain private unless there is a significant safeguarding concern. We go through this clearly together in your counselling contract during the initial assessment, so you always know what to expect.
We Work Together
My role is to help you move toward clarity, and your role is to let me know when something doesn’t feel right or doesn’t quite fit. I don’t lead from the front; I walk alongside you. You set the direction, and I stay close enough to sense, listen, and support, without assuming I can see everything you’re carrying.
Some sessions may feel reflective and gentle, while others may involve exploring patterns, emotions, or grounding techniques to help you feel more settled. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. You set the pace, and I support you with an integrative, trauma‑informed approach grounded in the Person‑Centred ethos of empathy, respect, and autonomy.
You’re welcome to have short‑term or longer‑term therapy, and we review our work regularly to make sure it continues to feel helpful and aligned with your needs.
